Students dressed up in red and green to honour both St Joseph and St Patrick.  In an attempt to make Bishop Karol feel at home at Our Lady of the River School, we hosted a feast of delicious polish sweets which included pączki – a traditional filled donut, chruściki - a fried polish pastry and Ciasteczka Maslane z Dzemem – a polish cookie filled with jam. Traditional polish music organised by Oliver Sims, one of our senior students, completed our polish experience. The year 2 and year 3 students impressed the Bishop with some singing.  Bishop Karol sampled our pączki and said they were about 70% the real deal.  Our hope is that Bishop Karol remembers our OLOR hospitality with fondness.
