St Mary MacKillop School in Wallaroo had the pleasure of hosting a visit by Bishop Karol Kulczycki and Mrs Nichii Mardon. They were able to visit our school in 2020 for our end of year Mass and it was lovely to welcome them again when they were able to stay for longer and visit all of the classrooms and have morning tea with the staff.
The students asked Bishop Karol all sorts of questions such as "How long have you been a Bishop?", "Do you have any brothers and sisters?", "How old are you?", "Why did you decide to become a Bishop?". Bishop Karol was never lost for an answer! Bishop Karol explained to the children that he was dressed in his "uniform" just as the children were wearing their uniform.
Bishop Karol and Mrs Mardon wandered and interacted with ease, engaging with the children and staff in the gentle relational way that is their trademark. The students went about their day, happy to talk with Bishop Karol and Mrs Mardon about their learning. There were smiles all around. We are appreciative of Bishop Karol and Nichii taking the time to visit us.St Mary MacKillop School in Wallaroo had the pleasure of hosting a visit by Bishop Karol Kulczycki and Mrs Nichii Mardon.
